Store Coupons (Gift Certificates)

The store coupon payment function is similar to the Cash payment functions.

• An amount can be entered on the Key pad as a payment or entered using one of the preset Fast Tender buttons.
• A partial payment with a Store Coupon or Gift Certificate.
• Select 'Store Coupons' from the 'Other Pay' payment options.

Normally a store coupon will form a partial payment but, if the coupon exceeds the value of the sale, then touching the 'Issue Coupon' button will print another coupon on the POS printer worth the unused balance of the coupon.

• A Customer and Store Copy of the Coupon Prints at the POS Printer.
• A Balancing Coupon Entry is added to the Sale
• The Change Due will then be Zero

On a system with Gift Card functionality enabled, it is possible to load the amount of the Coupon to the Gift Card instead of issuing a coupon.

• That way the customer has to buy more merchandise at your store to redeem the balance.
• If there are any negative amounts in the sale (returns) then the 'Issue Coupon' button will issue a coupon for the total returns in the sale.

• The customer receipt will show that coupons formed part of the payment.
