Price Levels
Back Office Setup
- There are six price levels for any one item on the
system.
- The top level is
the 'Every Day' pricing. This corresponds to the 'Selling Price'
entered in Inventory/Item Maintenance on the Back
Office.
- The 5 alternate levels can be custom named according to your
needs.
- These levels and
names are configured globally by Department in the Back
Office.

The Setup/POS
Lanes/Price Levels/Schedule form can also be used.
A POS Lane can be set to default to a
particular level for each new sale.
This is setup in the Back Office using the POS Lanes/Lane
Configuration/Lanes form.
Using an alternate price level at the POS
Lanes.
- The
Price Level button has to be applied BEFORE an item is sold.
- Discounts will NOT be applied to any item sold on an
alternate price level.
The price level used by the POS can selected manually by
the cashier or
programmed to be
selected depending on the time of
day .
To change the Price Level on a lane touch the ‘Discounts - Price Level’ button.
Then touch one of the levels that
displays.
- An alternate Level can be attached to the next single item
OR all of the items in the sale.
- Click the appropriate lock option to apply
the level.
- At the end of the sale the lane will revert to it's default
level.
- Touch the ‘Cancel Price Level’ button to remove the screen
without making a change.
- If 'Lock All Items' is selected, the Price
level will stay throughout the sale unless it is specifically changed.
- When a new sale
starts the Lane default level is selected automatically.
The Price Level that the sale is set to will display in
the yellow flash on the right of the items sold list.
- Alternate Price Level sales show on the Cashout
Reports.
A Report of all items sold using different
price levels is available in the Back Office Software.
- Select Store/Sales Journal/Item Sales Reports to see the report
options.
- Set the date range by click on the 'From' and 'To' date lines.
- Any Price Modified Items are shown under this report also as level
99.
