Electronic Cash Drawer Setup

Attach the Cash Drawer RJ11 jack to the back of the Epson TM Printer.

  • Once the Cash Drawer is connected to the Printer, the system will enforce the drawer closure before the lane will work. This is not configurable and is a security feature of the Lane.
  • The cash drawer will open at the end of a sale either for cash sales only or for all types of sale, depending on how the cashier has been configured in the Back Office software.
  • To turn the Receipt Printer On/Off,  between sales, touch the 'Turn Receipts ON/OFF' Button.
  • If the coloured area next to the Button is Green, then Receipts are currently ON, or if it is Red, then Receipts are currently OFF.

Then touch the 'Turn Receipts ON/OFF' Button.

If 2 Cash Drawers are setup on the Lane, then that must be specified in the Cashout Configure - Lane screen.

Using the Back Office Setup menus, in a two cash drawer lane system. a drawer can be assigned to either

  • a specific cashier,

  • OR a specific Foreign Currency.
