Price Level Schedule Setup
Choose Setup - POS
Lanes -
Price
Levels Schedule from the Back Office Menu.
There are 5 possible
alternate selling prices for each item sold at the POS.
- Each price is set on one of the 5 available Price
Levels.
- Each item can have a custom level set or take the Department
defaults.
- If a price change is made to an item, the alternate prices
recalculate.
- To Select a Price Level to schedule, click on it's
name on the left hand list.
- A price level can also apply an automatic Tax
Exemption

-
Once
a level is selected it's schedule can be setup be clicking
on the hour during the week as shown below.
- If any item is purchased during that time period, AND it has a
discounted price in the Promotional Level, the item will sell for the
discounted price automatically.
- Only 1 scheduled price level can be applied to
any hour in the week at any one time.
- The below example has the 'Promotional' price level being
applied to all items between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday to Friday.

- The Description of the Level can also be edited directly on this
list.
The default descriptions are shown. The same
descriptions are shown at the POS when the 'Price Level' option is
chosen in a sale.
POS Screen showing manual Levels selection within a sale:
- If the 'All Items This Sale' button is touched, the complete
sale will be recalculated to the new level.
- If the 'Next Item Only button' is touched then the Lane will
revert back to the default level after selling an item at the defined
level.
- If the Lock Lane to Level button is used, then the Lane will
persist at the selected level until either the Lane is exited and
restarted or a new level is locked in.

- If
scheduled, a level is applied regardless of cashier permissions.
- If there is a Special Price on the system that is cheaper
that the selected Price level then the Special Price will over-ride the
Price Level.
- If an item is sold
on a Price Level, it cannot be discounted further unless the permission is set expressly in
Cashier Maintenance.
- Points cannot be
redeemed against items sold on a price level, to avoid double discounting a
product.
