Installation and Support

Chapter 1 covers Installation and Support Issues.

The software may be downloaded and installed at no charge for evaluation purposes.

Back Office Software Installation Instructions:
The following instructions apply to a default Windows 7 32 Bit Pro system with the latest service pack and 'Windows Update' patches applied.

1 - If you are downloading the software - If not skip these first 3 steps and just double click on the installation media or file (Then go on from 2 below.)

  • Click 'Run' on the requester that appears after you click on the 'Download' link in your browser.
  • Allow sufficient time for the download to complete.
  • Click 'Run' on the requester that appears when the download has completed.

2 - Once the software installation has downloaded and started - 

  • Keep the default path displayed by the installation routine. 
  • Click on the 'Next' button each time the button is displayed.
  • Click the 'Close' button when the installation has completed.
  • Double click the 'Back Office' icon on your desktop to start the software.
The system will start by looking for a SQL Database to connect to. 

You must purchase a license from your Software Vendor for this software to be fully functional.

Support is available from your Software Vendor only - there may be a charge for support services depending on your agreement with the Vendor.


You will see this startup Menu upon successful installation and connection to the SQL Server.



  • This software is designed to be setup in consultation with a qualified Point Of Sales Software Vendor.
  • This software, while simple to use, is designed for use by experienced retail staff and management.

Due to the complexity of retail installations, not all features are documented herein, this manual is a work in progress, and covers most common uses of the software.

  • Additional documentation can be obtained from your Software Vendor, on a per request basis.

The software may not be intuitive to all users without some knowledge of the retail concepts involved, and at least some data-base management experience.

This Manual is provided as is and is not a guarantee of functionality.

Please test all desired features for accuracy and performance prior to using this product in a live retail setting.
