Label Fields Description -
  • Description - Shows the Label Description of the Item. Shelf B/C - has the Vendor code of the Item. This would show a barcode in enabled applications.
  • Case - Shows the Case Multiple for that Item (for re-Ordering information)
  • Barcode B/C - Will show the scanning UPC or EAN barcode for enabled applications. A 'valid' barcode is either 6 / 10 digits for a UPC code OR 7 / 12 digits for an EAN code.  If the number is not 6,7,10 or 12 digits long, the Numeric PLU code is shown.
  • Info - Shows whatever is in the 'Label Info' field of an item PLUS whatever is typed into the 'Info Prefix' text box on this screen. e.g. Wines may have a '1 or 0 etc ' in the Label Info field and the word 'Sweetness' in the 'Info Prefix' text. The Info Prefix is saved for each batch.
  • Unit Price - e.g. If the Price is $5.00 and the size/measure fields have 500 ML in them then the unit price will show '1c (Cent sign or Dollar sign is used depending on price) per ML' etc.
Size - Whatever is in the Size/Measure fields of the item is shown here (e.g. 500 ML)
  • Tax/Deposit - Combines Tax and Deposit information if the Flags are set for that item.
The Deposit description is set in the Deposit Table Setup.
  • Price - Shows the Retail Price of the Item. If it is below a dollar the cents sign is used automatically. If the price multiple is set above 1 then the box will show that e.g 3 FOR $1.98. If the Measure is set to KG and the scale flag is set the the Item will show the price e.g $1.99 PER Lb while the Unit Price box will show the price e.g. $4.28 PER KG
  • Shelf 123, Barcode123 - Shows the Numeric Vendor or Barcode. The vendor code can be alpha-numeric also.

Further 'Print Options' are part of the Design and shown on the 'Items Print' Tab Option - This Tab only appears if there are items to print in the Batch.

Previewing individual labels can be done by clicking on the record in the batch details from the Item 'Print' Tab option, and selecting the 'Show Items In Designer' option before clicking on the Design Tab option.

  • Info Prefix - Whatever is typed into this box will show on the label in the Info Box, preceeding any information in the 'Label Info' field in for any Inventory Item.
  • Show Field Description in Info - If this box is checked, a Drop Down box will appear instead of the Info Prefix entry. - The options in the Drop Down box are all options that can show in the 'Info' text box in the Label.
For instance, if an Item has a specific comment attached to it in Inventory Maintenance, then choosing the 'Comment' drop down selection will show the contents of that field for each item on the label.
  • No Tax Message on Print - Normally the Deposit/Tax box shows deposit and tax details for each item.  To constrain the contents of this box to the deposit value only then check this box.
  • Alpha Sort - Sorts labels by description rather than Entry order.
  • Show Last Received Date in Info - Shows the date received in the Info section of the label.
  • Add Cost Coding - Prints and masks the cost according to a simple cipher entered when the option is choosen.
