This option should be selected if you are interested in keeping an accurate
on-hand stock count for any cases that are broken down into smaller sales units.
- The number of cases broken down will be deducted from the 'Stock
On Hand' count for that Item.
- The number of re-packs added into stock, made available for sale, are
added to the 'Stock On Hand' count for the re-packs created from the breakdown.
- Two finalized Store Transfers will be made from this operation automatically.
The first will be a 'Transfer Out' from the store of the Cases Broken. The
Second will be a 'Transfer In' to the Store of the re-packs created from the breakdown.
- The date set on the calendar is set on the Transfers. It is important
that this date be accurate or this will throw out your
Period Reporting figures.
- A report of these Transfers can be obtained from the
Inventory/Reports section, or viewed and edited through the Item's Transfers
history.
Find and select the parent item that you wish to break down, and edit the item.
- Select the 'Repack' Tab option in the Item Editor
- This displays the Case Repack form.
- Enter the amount of cases that you are breaking down in the 'Open Cases'
box.
- Enter the amount of re-packs you are creating in the 'To Make ' box.
- Enter the PLU or Shelf Code for the re-packs in the 'For Item PLU' box. (Entering
the UPC/PLU entry box will bring up a list of all items to select from.) The
UPC/PLU can be typed in or selected from the list.
- Check the date is correct on the Calendar for the time that this particular
transfer occured. (Many stores fill out a daily 'Breakdown sheet' which is then
entered into this section for each item on the sheet.)
- Click the date line to see the pop up calendar.
- Select a Date from the calendar and click 'OK' on it to set the date on
the form.
- When you click on the 'OK' button on the break case form, the re-packs will
be looked up on the system and the dollar values calculated and displayed.
- A confirmation will be displayed when the program has completed it's routines.
- You will then be returned to the Item Maintenance form.
The numbers and PLU entered will then be remembered for the next time you break
a case.
That will make the entries faster next time, as all you have to do then, is enter
the new Case and Pack quantities, without having to remember the re-pack code.
