Item Maintenance - Case Repacks
This option should be selected if you are interested in keeping an accurate on-hand stock count for any cases that are broken down into smaller sales units.
  • The number of cases broken down will be deducted from the 'Stock On Hand' count for that Item.
  • The number of re-packs added into stock, made available for sale, are added to the 'Stock On Hand' count for the re-packs created from the breakdown.
  • Two finalized Store Transfers will be made from this operation automatically.  The first will be a 'Transfer Out' from the store of the Cases Broken.  The Second will be a 'Transfer In' to the Store of the re-packs created from the breakdown.
  • The date set on the calendar is set on the Transfers. It is important that this date be accurate or this will throw out your Period Reporting figures.
  • A report of these Transfers can be obtained from the Inventory/Reports section, or viewed and edited through the Item's Transfers history.
Find and select the parent item that you wish to break down, and edit the item.

  • You will then be returned to the Item Maintenance form.
The numbers and PLU entered will then be remembered for the next time you break a case.
That will make the entries faster next time, as all you have to do then, is enter the new Case and Pack quantities, without having to remember the re-pack code.
