Setup - Zones
Choose Setup - System - Zones from the Main Menu.

This will open the Store Pricing Zone Setup form.

Zone Pricing is a Multi - Store Option only.

All Stores must be in Zone 1 at least, by default.

The Pricing Zones table is used in a situation where multiple stores require different retail prices and tax structures on items, depending on the area they are selling in.

  • Taxes and prices are modified as items are sent to the POS, based on filters placed in the Zone file.
  • For instance all prices in zone 2 could be 5% higher than zone 1, or zone 1 could have taxes not applied in zone 2 etc. 
  • The number of Zones is unlimited. 
  • Each  store has to be attached to a Zone.
  • To select a Zone to edit, click on it's record on the left hand side of the form.
  • Click on the 'Save' button to Save the record.
  • To add a new record, click on the 'New' button and fill in the new Zone description. 
  • Click 'Save' to save the new record.
  • To remove a Zone click on the 'Delete' button.  If the parent Zone contains any 'child' stores, the operation will not be allowed.
Here is an explanation of the columns (field names) in the table.
  • Zone ID - Use a unique, non zero number for the ID. The Zone Numbers have to start at 1 and be sequential thereafter.
  • Zone Description - Give the Zone a unique description that will allow you to identify it at a glance.
  • Allow (Tax) If the Tax is applicable to this zone, check it ON.
  • Tax Rate % - The Applicable Tax Rate percentage for this Zone.
