The Inventory Transfers have two main functions on the system;
- On a multi store system, they allow a transfer of stock between stores,
updating stock levels in both as the the Transfers are processed.
- In a single store, a Transfer can also be made to the 'Outside' which has the function of depleting
the stock in the originating store only.
Transfers IN and OUT of a store show in the
Period Activity report as balancing stock entries.
- Two 'Internal Transfers' are created whenever a
Case Break (Repack) in Inventory/Item Maintenance is done.
One Transfer moves the repacked stock IN and the other is a record of the stock
that is unpacked OUT.
The effect of the Internal transfers is to balance the stock picture in the
Period Activity report.
Internal Transfers cannot be created manually, but they can be deleted from the
documents in history by using the Transfer form.
