To view or analyse Sales data, from the Menu, choose 'Store - Sales Data Query
and Export' and then the selection that you want to view.
- In the below example, Item Sales data is being reviewed.
- Each of the options in this Sub-Menu selects the appropriate Tab on teh Sales Export
form.
The forms provide a listed view of the data, prior to exporting.
- If you want to see sales information over a selected Date Range,
Choose the Starting and Ending date range for the data that you want to
view. (For a single day, use the same date in both fields.)
- Clicking on either of the date fields will bring up a calendar.
- Clicking on visible fields within the list portion will help fill in the
top filter boxes.
- Then click on the 'Compile' button.
e.g. If you had chosen Lane 1 then only data from Lane 1 will show in the
list section now. (The rest of the data is 'filtered' out.)
- e.g. you could view just the sales for PLU 9 from Store 1, Lane 1 for all
of April 2005, by entering in the parameters (1, 1, 9, 04/01/02, 04/31/02) required
into the appropriate boxes next to the 'Show Only' button.
- Clicking on any of the Column Headers will sort the data by that column.
If you wish to Export sales data for any reason, click on the 'Export'
button.
- This will copy all of the data you have on your spreadsheet view to a '.CSV'
(Comma Separated Value) file which can be saved to any folder under any filename
required.
- This file can be imported into many other programs such as Microsoft's
'Excel' spread sheet application.
