Store Sales Summary Reports
Once the POS Lane Data has been polled and report data compiled successfully, the Store Sales Summary Reports are ready for printing.

To view the reports, from the Main Menu, choose 'Store - Sales Summary Reports'.

The following the Reports are available from this form:

  • Store Summary - Daily comparison of overall Store Sales.

The Items Sold report can be run in order of Department and/orTop Sellers.
eStream POS systems only show stock on hand remaining for each item sold.
  • Hourly - A summary of customer transaction count, amount and average sale by hour.
  • Department - A summary of all sales broken down by Department - amounts such as Paid Out or Payments on Account do not net to department totals.
  • Main Areas- Same as Departments but consolidated to Main Areas depending on the Department setup.
  • Cost Of Sales - This report shows you in detail or consolidated Group/Departments how much profit you made for the period specified based on Item Sales only.
  • Vendor Coupons - A summary of all coupons collected against items sold at the POS.

  • Rental Items Returned - Reports on daily activity for Rental items coming back form customers.
  • Rental Items Out - Shows all Rental items taken out or by date range.

  • Choose the starting and ending date range for the report.
  • Click on the date lines to see the calendar.
  • For a single day, use the same starting and ending date.
  • If you have just polled reports for a specific date then the date will be set up for you on this screen already.
  • Choose the Store that you want the report run for, from the drop down selection.
  • Select the Report that you want to view.
  • Select 'Consolidate' if you do not want a detailed daily breakdown of data.
  • Click on the green 'Print' button at the top of the form.
If any data exists in the POS Lanes Electronic Journal (EJ) that has not been comilied into report form yet, then that process will occur prior to the report being generated.  The system will display a progress report as it compiles report data.  Once a report's Day has been fully compiled then the compile process will not occur ever again for that day.

That will then display a preview of the report on-screen, ready to print.

.

  • Click on the Report's 'Print' button to send this report to a Printer.
  • The Printer can be any local, network or fax printer installed under Windows.
  • We recommend a good quality laser printer for daily business use.

Any Report can also be exported to a (Comma Separated Values) CSV File.  This is useful because a CSV file can be viewed as a Spreadsheet in many other programs such as 'Microsoft Office Excel'.  Other 3rd party software, such as accounting programs, can often use a CSV file to import data, thus avoiding the need for manual entries into that software.

To do this, from the Report Window, click on the 'Export' button next to the top, left print button.
Then choose a folder, file type and file name to export to.

It is recommended that you install a 'PDF' (Portable Document Format) writer on your system if it is important to email reports to another person in the format that appears on the screen.

The most well know PDF writer is ' ADOBE Acrobat Professional' but other software options are available.

  • The main Financial, Department and Hourly reports can be emailed automatically when Autopoll runs.
  • See the Setup - Store - Address section for more details.
There are cheaper writers on the market, or even freeware if you can find it.
  • To close a report, click on the topmost right X of it's window. A report can also be sized or minimized on the screen using the standard windows controls.
