Choose Setup - Store - Event Types from the Menu.
This will open the Event Types Tab option on the setup form.
- Event Types are used to identify the promotional plans associated with
a Store.
- The descriptions are used inside the Inventory - Event Maintenance form.
- The Event Pricing system allows automatic ON and OFF dates for promotional
prices within the system.
One example for a use of this would be a Flyer sent out with an expiry date for
the promotional prices.
- The Event Types allow for later grouping of Event reports.

- To select an Event to edit, click on it's record on the left hand side of the form.
- Click on the 'Save' button to Save the record.
- To add a new record, click on the 'New' button and fill in the new Event and description.
- Click 'Save' to save the new record.
- To remove an Event click on the 'Delete' button.
If the parent Event contains any 'child' special records, the operation will not
be allowed.
Here is an explanation of the columns (field names) in the table.
- Event Type ID - Set by the system.
- Event Type Description - Give the Event a unique description that will correspond
to an Ad or Promotional Program.
