eStream System 5 Download

This download is comprised of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, the eStream Client software and the eStream Server software. 
 

SQL Server Installation Instructions

Microsoft recommends that you read the Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Release Notes and Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Readme before installing Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2.

Step 1: Download and install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1. or Download and install Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0.
Step 2: Download and install Windows Installer 4.5.
Step 3: Download SQL Server 2008 R2 Express by clicking the appropriate link below.

Note: SQL Server 2008 R2 Express includes both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. SQLEXPR32_x86 is a smaller package that can be used to install SQL Server 2008 R2 Express onto only 32-bit operating systems. SQLEXPR_x86 is the same product but supports installation onto both 32-bit and 64-bit (WoW) operating systems. SQLEXPR_x64 is a native 64-bit SQL Server 2008 R2 Express and supports installation onto only 64-bit operating systems. There is no other difference between these packages.SQL Server 2008 R2 Express is not supported on IA64 systems.


Installation Instructions:

 The following instructions apply to a default Windows 7 SP1 system with the latest Windows Update patches applied.

  • Click 'Save' on the requester that appears after you click on the 'Download' link.
  • Allow sufficient time for the download to complete.
  • Click 'Run' on the requester that appears when the download has completed.
  • Follow the SQL Server Installation prompts and configure as required for your system.
  • Check our online manual pages for futher configuration instructions.

When the SQL Server is successfully installed, download the eStream Client Software.

Installation Instructions:

  • Click 'Run' on the requester that appears after you click on the 'Download' link.
  • Allow sufficient time for the download to complete.
  • Click 'Run' on the requester that appears when the download has completed.
  • Keep the default path displayed by the installation routine.
  • Click on the 'Next' button each time the button is displayed.
  • Click the 'Close' button when the installation has completed.
  • Double click the 'eStream Office' icon on your desktop to start the software.
The eStream Server software is only required for systems running lanes not sharing a database with the Back Office.
The Server package enables the Back Office computer to be set up as a server to allow remote, satellite POS Lanes to push data to, and pull data from it.
If are are just downloading the software for evaluation purposes, you will not need the Server Software immediately.

We now have Payment Card Chip N PIN processing available for Canada through Mercury/Global Payments. A 'Verifone Vx810' PIN Pad is required for this application, no other EMV Units are supported at this time.

An additional download is required for the initial setup.
